Our products are designed as tactical aids for inshore sailboat racing and for sailing as a hobby or leisure activity. They are not intended for navigation purposes.
We offer a two-year limited warranty from the original purchase date, covering manufacturing defects for the original buyer who purchased the product new from us or an authorized reseller.
2. Warranty Limitations
This warranty does not cover damages resulting from misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear. Some common exclusions include:
Cracked or broken LCD screens.
Damage from impacts, drops, or collisions.
Wear caused by lines or ropes rubbing against the device.
Improper installation or removal from mounting cradles.
Water intrusion due to misuse or compromised waterproofing from the above causes.
3. Warranty Claims Process
If you experience a manufacturing defect within the warranty period:
Contact Support: Reach out to our team at contact@nova-sail.comwith your order details and a description of the issue.
Evaluation: We will assess the issue to determine if it qualifies for warranty coverage.
Resolution: If approved, we will either repair or replace the product at our discretion.
Note: Customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty returns.
4. Non-Warranty Repairs
For issues not covered under warranty or beyond the warranty period, we offer repair services:
Diagnostic Fee: A flat fee of €50 to evaluate the issue.
Repair Cost Estimate: After evaluation, we will provide a quote for the total repair cost, including both replacement parts and labor. If you proceed with the repair, the diagnostic fee will be applied toward the total repair cost.
Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with sending and receiving the repaired product.
5. Returns for Refunds
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you may return it under these conditions:
Return Window: Request a return within 14 days of receiving the product.
Product Condition: The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in resalable condition.
Return Authorization: Contact us at [insert email] to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, and the RMA number must be included inside the package.
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, a refund will be issued to your original payment method within 7 business days.
Note: Since we offer free shipping, there are no shipping fees to refund. However, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases of defective or incorrect items
